NEUROLOGIST
Dr. Tu Tian Ming is a Neurologist, with clinical interest in acute ischemic stroke, in particular, hyperacute stroke care.
He completed his undergraduate medical training at the National University of Singapore in 2005. During his undergraduate years, he was awarded the Dean's list 3 times. In particular, during the Final MBBS examination in 2005, he was awarded the Lim Boon Keng Medal for best student in the Medicine Exam and the Nestle Gold Medal for best student in Paediatric exam. He obtained his post-graduate membership with the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2010 and completed his neurology specialist training at the National Neuroscience Institute - Tan Tock Seng Campus in 2014.
Dr. Tu was awarded the Ministry of Health Healthcare Scholarship to complete a Masters in Clinical Investigation at NUS in 2015. He was also awarded the National Medical Research Council overseas research fellowship award at Duke University, USA, from 2015 to 2016 to study on novel treatments of stroke in preclinical models.
During his tenure in public service, Dr. Tu Tian Ming was appointed the Head of Division of Neurology at Changi General Hospital in 2019, core-faculty of the SingHealth neurology senior residency (2018-2022), adjunct assistant professor at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School (2017-2022) and clinical teacher at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (2017-2022). He was also an final MBBS examiner for the Duke-NUS Graduate medical school as well as for Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. As part of his research career, he has co-authored over 40 peer-reviewed research academic publications.
Dr. Tu Tian Ming was a visiting consultant at the National Neuroscience Institute - Tan Tock Seng Campus and holds clinical senior lecturer for undergraduates at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. He is currently a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom, member of the American Heart Association and an associate of the American Academy of Neurology.
